My name is Erv and I live in Arizona. I am a retired Information Technology consultant. I spent 40 years in IT-related activities, starting as a computer programmer in 1964. In the mid-1990s, I “discovered” stock trading (along with millions of others). It was a painful process. I made a lot of money, then lost it all in the 2000 stock market crash.
So, I started studying and testing. I developed stock trading techniques that have served me well (when I follow them but, as we will learn, discipline is one of the hardest tenets to apply where emotions involving money are concerned).
Of course, no method is perfect, but if you manage your money correctly and know when to fold ‘em and know when to hold ‘em, you can pick losers over 50% of the time and still make a fortune. Thanks to the stock market, my wife and I were able to retire at age 57. I now trade as a part-time activity to supplement our retirement income.
This blog is for sharing stock trading ideas, thoughts and techniques. It is intended to be a community effort.
